Against my advice to our GPS, we drove back to NH via the George Washington Bridge!! But it gave us these speedy views of the amazing new World Trade Center in the last phase of its magnificent construction. Though my little camera catches it through a Monet lens, you can get an idea of its size compared to the Empire State Building on the far left of the center photo.

Our Class Sponsor
Women of Hollins' "Class class": We have been busy on the home front with the sudden death of my cousin's wife, Virginia Shackelford, and other far less critical events. So, a belated note to the conspirators, whoever they may be. Your sponsor for one of the few times in his life, and to the great relief to those gathered in the dining room, was at a loss for words. Please know that I was deeply touched and honored by your wonderful presentation.
Your class has meant so much to Sib and me over the years. The reunion was beautifully organized and executed with
just the proper mix of tears and cheers. You are all to be congratulated.
Peace, through a glass brilliantly ......BobF

Kitty Clark Stroud - deceased November 27, 2010
I know we are all saddened by the passing of our beloved Kitty. She had that special smile that lightened our hearts. She paid attention to each of us as though we were her dearest friend. She went to great lengths to garner support for Hollins - a place at the top of her list. No one could refuse her asking!
Hollins and I will miss her.
These photos are how I remember her from all those fabulous reunions and the 1842 trip to Charleston.
We did have fun.
With a grateful heart full of Hollins Love,
Hemmie

Our reunion truly was grand and everyone who came met up with long-ago pals and made some new ones. President Nancy Gray made us feel right back at home. Hollins is thriving...and so are we. Bob and Sibby Norment once again welcomed us into their home, entertaining us with glamour and grace. There were many things to talk about, remember, and be proud of! In fact, it is startling to stop and think about just how far we babies have come! Wyndham and Sibby had it right to say we were "still stirring."
And now we look forward to 2013 - - - It sounds like a date long in the future but it's coming fast. Keep on stirring and plan to come back to Hollins for our fabulous 55th.
